Peppercorn Steak with Red Wine Reduction

Ingredients:

  • 2 steaks (your choice of cut)
  • 1 tablespoon black peppercorns, crushed
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

  • Season steaks with crushed peppercorns and salt.
  • In a skillet over medium-high heat, sear the steaks to your desired doneness. Remove and let them rest.
  • Deglaze the pan with red wine and let it reduce by half.
  • Add butter and stir until sauce thickens.
  • Pour sauce over steaks and serve with mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables.
